I was born in a small village in India. I was always fascinated by the visual arts, especially the art of henna which has an abundant presence in my culture. I first learned henna art at the age of ten from my mother who was a professional henna artist. The tradition of henna design has been passed down in my family for several years.

I am a professional Henna artist with over 30 years of experience doing authentic Indian henna designs for weddings, birthday parties, private and corporate events, ladies’ mehandi night, sangeet night, bridal showers, and various other events. I have been doing henna in the Salt Lake City, Utah region for the past 21 years. I make my own henna and use 100% natural henna products imported from India.

Offerings to learners: presentation on the history of henna in India, design meanings, and hands on instruction in practicing and applying henna. Can be adjusted for any age group.
