Over the past decade, Bob Plumb has immersed himself in the art of photography, establishing a reputation for his distinctive vision and dynamic style. Based in the picturesque landscapes of Utah, Bob is deeply passionate about the outdoors and has dedicated his photography career to capturing both the landscape and the people within His expertise spans both on-location shooting and studio work, and he has traveled the globe documenting remarkable individuals and their achievements. His approach to photography results in striking, authentic imagery that deeply resonates with his audience.
Recently, Bob has expanded his artistic horizons, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching Fine Arts (MAT) from the University of Utah, further enriching his creative journey. Throughout his journey, Bob has partnered with the State of Utah and local students to mark the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike, contributing to one of eight commemorative graphic novels created for the occasion. He is particularly passionate about engaging with youth to raise awareness of environmental issues. Recently, he focused on educating students about the detrimental effects of plastic waste on the environment and worked with them to develop sustainable, long-term solutions. Oncethe students developed their solutions, they utilized photography and video to create their own educational platform, aimed at sharing their insights and knowledge with their peers.
Bob is committed to fostering a teaching environment that empowers students through ownership of their learning. His approach emphasizes a collaborative, fun and encouraging classroom atmosphere where everyone contributes. As he puts it, “An engaged student is passionate about their learning and is taking ownership of the learning process.”
