Artist Bio

Amy received her BFA in printmaking from Utah State University and has exhibited works locally at Saltgrass Printmakers, Pioneer Memorial Theatre’s Loge Gallery, Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, BYU and Springville Museum of Art.

Amy’s passion for printmaking and mixed mediums demonstrates to students projects can have creative diversity; students are able to explore through multiple layers of expression – paper, paint, pencil, ink, layers of mediums, fabric, applied objects and transfers from plates, gels, blocks, stamps and the unexpected.

She brings years of presentation direction, recent projects include orchestrating gallery opening and book launch for photographer Mark Twight, and gallery installation for 16-year-old Alexandra Cordova, which comprised of framing pieces for WOW Atelier, a Salt Lake Gallery Stroll event. Always working with the goal to bring community together through the visual arts, other examples include: Recycle Utah’s Annual Fund Raiser highlighting elementary school kids sculpture contest made with recycled items; teaching high school art in Austria and in charge of all cultural field trips; inspired art activities at the Utah Sailing Association Gumball Rally; 337 Project board member; helped orchestrate UMOCA mural project and U of U PAC 12 Paint the Town Red campaign.

Throughout her career she applied her creative energies successfully through marketing, PR and product development, it is now time to return to the studio and the creation of visual art.
