Artist Bio

Anthony Lott has been an educator for the better part of thirty years. Over the years he has enjoyed collaborating with other visual artists and writers, and Anthony sees the teacher-student relationship as a similar partnership: one where two people can explore and discover new ideas working back-and-forth together. Anthony taught drawing and design at the University of Montana and currently works at the Blanding Campus of Utah State University in the southeast corner of Utah. At USU he teaches art appreciation, drawing and ceramics and he served as Artist-in-Residence at Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.

In his studio work, Anthony creates landscapes and portraits that explore the overlap between drawing and painting. He looks forward to working with individuals or groups on the fundamentals of two-dimensional art, as well as with those who have more experience and are interested in exploring new ground formally or conceptually.
