Artist Bio

From a young age, I have always had a strong interest in the arts. I have dabbled in quite a lot of mediums and variations and have a fairly firm grasp on most concepts and experience sprinkled throughout the entirety of art. I adore learning new things and continuously adding to my skill sets or even just finding new interests. Throughout my life I’ve developed intense passions for numerous things; many of which I now carry with myself. They have given me freedom to create, experience, and overall – live. The devotion I have to learning and experiencing connect my interests all together. They have allowed me to become who I am today and resonate within every decision I make.  I feel my culture has allowed me to deeply appreciate things on another level. Acknowledging the arts of my ancestors and how they have come so far while still utilizing older tools is amazing to me. I have deep appreciation for the original methods,

Film photography and videography are deeply ingrained within me. It’s provided the opportunity for me to stop and live in the present, especially when I’m accustomed to pondering the past or wondering about the future. It has accentuated my already strong patience, and taught me to live my life to capture the best moments. In the end, I am an artist. I am a photographer. Film photography will indefinitely be my excuse to see the world how I envision it to be. I love every layer of film photography development where I can leave my own mark and creativity. It offers me full creative freedom at every step while appreciating the process.

I would prefer to do hands-on workshops to share my knowledge of photography.  I can share the entire process of film photography from how to manually expose an image, how a camera is built and functions, how to develop film, the science of film and why it works as a medium for photography, how to edit photos in lightroom, how to compose an image, elements of photography, to how to make prints, etc.

In a classroom I’d love to show them tons of different types of cameras, how to take pictures with a camera – I want learners of all ages to have a hands on experience. In addition, I would want to teach about the background of the art itself and the history and significance of photography.
