Helicopters and Commoners

A scene called Helicopter and Commoners within a retablo. The scene portrays two groups of humanlike figurines. On the left are four men dressed in military-like uniforms, holding guns. These men stand by a helicopter with a pilot seen inside. On the left is a group of commons wearing ponchos and hats with looks of worry on their faces. The commoners stand in from of what appears to be a structure with a straw roof.
When the villagers of Uchuraccay saw this flying metal machine many were surprised and somewhat scared. The soldiers explained that they had come with a warning - "Those who come from above are your friends and those who come on the roadway are your enemies.” The soldiers encouraged the village to, “Defend yourselves and kill them."
