DesignArts Utah ’19 honors and celebrates some of Utah’s best designers and provides an opportunity for gallery visitors see the talent of Utah’s design community.
The juror for DesignArts Utah ’18 is Gail Anderson, is the creative director of Visual Arts Press at the School of Visual Arts New York, where she has taught for close to thirty years. In fall 2019, Gail will succeed Richard Wilde as chair of BFA Advertising and BFA Design at the College
Ms Anderson awarded the $3,000 juror’s award winner in the professional category to C502 Press for their project: Unity & Division. The two $500 student juror’s awards were awarded to Audrey Hancock for her video project, In your Dreams and the UVU Art & Design Department for their collaborative project, Dividing Colors: War & Rights.
The Design Arts Program of the Utah Division of Arts & Museums sponsors DesignArts Utah annually with an exhibition featuring designs, prototypes, and produced samples by designers in Utah’s various design fields.
