JUMP THE MOON
visual artwork youth and adult artists with diverse abilities
Michael J. Bingham is a former artist at Hallmark Cards and graduate of California’s prestigious Art Center College of Design. Bingham has more than 40 years of experience as a professional artist, educator, designer, sculptor, and illustrator. He founded Jump the Moon in Logan, a studio where kids and adults with disabilities and diverse abilities come to make art, often using adaptive tools designed by Michael. This exhibition features work by kids and adults created in classes at Jump the Moon. Labels tell the stories of adaptive tools designed to assure each individual can make art, even if they can only move one arm up and down and communicate choice of color by moving their eyes from side to side. The labels also define each artists’ gifts.
