Utah Public Art Program Opportunities

The Utah Public Art Program requests qualifications from artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the upcoming Utah Tech McDonald Building. The Art Selection Committee seeks sculptural artwork to be installed in an exterior courtyard area that will be developed as a sculpture garden.
Budget: $164,000 – Deadline: July 16, 2026


OTHER PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES IN / NEAR UTAH

Weber State University (WSU), in partnership with Ogden city, is seeking proposals for temporary outdoor public art for Dumke Arts Plaza. The proposals should be for four sculptures or a site-specific installation and can include a video component.
Budget: $35,000 – Deadline: July 15, 2026

NATIONAL / INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES

The University of Oregon is seeking artwork for the Next Generation Housing Project, a new residential development in the East Campus area in Eugene, OR. Artwork should reflect the project’s setting at the intersection of campus and neighborhood – where the University’s academic core meets the natural and cultural landscapes of Eugene.
Budget: $1,029,936 – Deadline: June 18, 2026 

The University of Oregon is seeking artwork for the upcoming Oregon Acoustic Research Laboratory (OARL) at the University of Oregon. Works should celebrate the mission of the OARL by highlighting innovation in sound research and mass timber technology, while also reflecting Oregon’s heritage of craftsmanship, science, and environmental stewardship.
Budget: $187,855 – Deadline: June 18, 2026

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority seeks qualifications from artists or artist teams for artwork for the newly designed Asheville Regional Airport terminal. The artwork should advance the guiding design principle of the terminal, which is to represent “a modern gateway, humbly rooted in natural beauty.”
Budget: $400,000 – Deadline: June 22, 2026

The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks qualifications from artists or artist teams for artworks at the new STEM Complex at Southern University and A&M College. The committee is looking for one artist or team to develop a cohesive series of three related artworks at key locations in the building.
Budget: $405,000 – Deadline: June 29, 2026

The City of Winston-Salem's Public Art Commission is launching the CNI Resident Artist Project, a one-time artist residency funded through the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI) Public Art Revitalization Program. The artist will collaborate with the Public Art Commission to work with East Winston-Salem residents to develop an artistic project that is community-focused.  
Budget: $300,000 – Deadline: June 29, 2026

The Western States Arts Federation’s Public Art Art Archive invites artists who are not already listed, to submit artwork for inclusion in a national online database of public art. To be considered, you must be a professional artist who has completed and installed public artwork.
Budget: N/A – Deadline: Rolling
