Detailed Information

The Old Spanish Trail Association is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and promoting the legacy of the Old Spanish National Historic Trail in central and southern Utah. The Southern Utah Chapter, based in Cedar City, partners with the Bureau of Land Management, local governments, and tourism councils to mark and preserve original trail routes from the Fish Lake area to Mountain Meadows. The chapter has also helped establish the Gerald R. Sherratt Library at Southern Utah University as the official archive for the Old Spanish Trail Association and hosts educational seminars at the university and the Frontier Heritage State Park Museum.
